①Booking differences:

For general cargoes, you only need to provide a letter of entrustment, English MSDS and a report on the conditions of transport of the Chemical Industry Institute.

②The difference between release orders:

General cargo release: 7 days in advance, then pick up the container at the yard.

Dangerous goods release order: also 7 days in advance, but need to be declared as dangerous, after the release of dangerous goods, need to arrange dangerous goods truck to pick up the boxes.

③Packing difference:

General cargo crating: there are no absolute requirements, just normal crating, and then get a packing list from the fleet.

Dangerous goods loading: need to be carried out in the dangerous goods warehouse, the fleet also needs to send dangerous goods information to the shipping agent, after loading, get the packing list and packing instructions.

④The difference between inbound and outbound:

General cargo entry: Direct entry.

Dangerous goods entry: you need to wait for the port to accept the goods before you can enter the port.

There is no major difference between the customs declaration and the signing of the bill of lading, but it is worth noting that the bill of lading for hazardous goods will show the wording reflecting that the goods are hazardous.

What to look for in a hazardous goods customs declaration

1.Before exporting dangerous goods, provide the dangerous goods specification to the freight forwarder (the dangerous goods specification must include the name, dangerous goods level, dangerous goods page number and UN number in English and Chinese), and let the freight forwarder ask the customs whether the port accepts such dangerous goods.

MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) is a chemical safety statement, also translated as Chemical Safety Technical Sheet or Chemical Safety Data Sheet. It is a document used by chemical manufacturers and importers to clarify the physical and chemical properties of chemicals (e.g. PH value, flash point, flammability, reactivity, etc.) and the possible hazards to the health of users (e.g. carcinogenic, teratogenic, etc.).
